23rd Annual

Awards Banquet

Receiving the Legacy Award:

Guest of Honor,  Tom Bleecker

Tom Bleecker

Author, screenwriter, and Kenpoist!

A man well-known for his writing career which began in 1970 under the tutelage of noted screenwriter and director Blake Edwards, Mr. Bleecker has single-handedly brought American Kenpo to the forefront with his prolific writings.

You most certainly have read some of his books – most notably in the Martial Arts Community – ‘The Journey’ with the late Joe Hyams, ‘The International Journey’ and books on Bruce Lee, Benny ‘The Jet’ Urquidez, Bishop Donnie Williams and Senior Master Bob White along with many, many other books and articles.

Mr. Bleecker began his Kenpo career at Ed Parker's Kenpo Karate in 1963. As he is now an 8th degree Black Belt, there's a lot more to be shared about his amazing career the day of the event.
